Seo Kyung-duk, a professor at Sungshin Women’s University, said on Thursday that she has filed a complaint with Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) regarding the unsportsmanlike conduct of Chinese spectators at the 2026 North and Central American World Cup Asia Second Qualifier on July 21.
“These situations should never be repeated,” Seo said on social media.
“Some Chinese spectators booed during the national anthem before the start of the match,” he said, calling it “a clear violation of basic courtesy for an international match.”레모나토토 도메인
“They frequently shot laser lights at Korean players, especially Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in,” he said, “which is an unacceptable behavior to disrupt the game.”
“They also showed unsportsmanlike behavior throughout the game, including shouting harsh insults at our supporters with the Korean flag,” he added.
“Booing the opposing team’s national anthem, laser attacks on key players of the opposing team, and severe swearing at the opposing team’s supporters are clear violations of the spirit of FIFA,” Seo said in his complaint, adding, “I strongly protest to the Chinese Football Association to take measures to prevent such incidents from happening again.”
