‘Shining youngest sensation’ Choi Yun-gyeom from Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, honored with August Director of the Month Award

K League 2 new team Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, recorded 3 wins and 1 draw in 4 games in August,
the highest winning percentage across K League 1 and 2 during the same period.

 Coach Choi Yoon-gyeom, who is leading the sensation of Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, in K League 2, won the Manager of the Month Award.

The Korea Professional Football League announced on the 6th that Coach Choi was selected as the ‘Flex Coach of the Month Award’ for August.

Chungbuk Cheongju, led by Coach Choi, went undefeated with 3 wins and 1 draw in 4 games held in August. Since last June, they have been undefeated in 12 consecutive league games (7 wins, 5 draws) until the first game in September.

Chungbuk Cheongju started August with a 2-0 win in the 25th round match against Ansan Greeners. They then continued their winning streak by winning 1-0 against Gimpo FC in the 27th round. Afterwards, they recorded a 0-0 draw against Cheonan FC in the 28th round, but lifted the mood again with a 2-1 win against FC Anyang in the 29th round.
